Danchee ridgerock wheel spins

New to the forum, danchee ridgerock noticed one wheel just spins. Obviously something is broke looking for a little direction before I take it apart. Drive shaft broken? Built RC as a kid, Tamiya grasshopper and lunchbox. Thanks in advance for the advice

you won't know for sure until you open it up, but based on a quick look at the user manual and a google search, it looks like the locker and gears are made of plastic. Based on that, it's almost certain that the plastic spool stripped. Rather than just replace it with another plastic one, I'd do some searching to see if there's any sort of metal upgrade available.

Look at Exploded View 1: https://dealer.redcatracing.com/manu..._BG_MANUAL.pdf

I have searched the web for all kinds of replacement parts and I can tell you other than the replacements that redcat sells there is nothing out there! I have a ridgerock and I have even went has far as sending an email about upgrading parts and they don’t have any.

Pretty much finding the same. Upside is it's a great truck to start with and my grandson will enjoy making it "his truck" and I will upgrade once I save the money

I have the same thoughts about it. It lets you get a taste of the hobby with out spending hundreds of dollars.

While that may be true, isn't the Element 10 around the same price? At least that has upgrades available.

The Danchee ridgerock is only about $120. Not sure how much the Element 10 is going for but I’m sure there is more upgrades for it than the ridgerock.
