Thanks!! I'm a jeep guy, and Ford, but have always liked the square body step-sides. One day my 98 jeep tj will have a Ford Mustang 302 in it.

mind if I ask why? A windsor motor would be one of my last choices. A 5.3 LS takes up the same amount of space, can be found cheaper, and makes 2x the power stock vs. stock, and responds much better to modifications.

To further Jim's point the Ford engine has the distributor at the front of the end the can be more prone to getting water in it if you are going through deep water. A SBC has it at the rear of the engine and it a little more protected.

The Gen 3 SBC LS motors don't have a distributor at all. Gen 1s obviously do, and let's just pretend that the Gen 2s don't exist...

I honestly prefer ford motors. I've had 2 mustang 5.0 and both were pretty modified and had no issues. As long as you get a mass air flow sensored year its ok, the speed density didn't take well to mods. I also don't do many high water crossings, mostly trails and rocks.

You can get a kit to install a distributor on a LS engine, but it puts it up front like an older Ford.

Now back to the RC's...lol
Welcome to the site! I can't see this photo.

I love the Chevy body with the Super Swampers. My SSD Trail King is going to be just like that, but with a different color and different wheels.
