would.it.be posable to flip the battery tray so the battery hangs down for a lower center of gravity.
i have my battery mounted on the front upper links to get it as low and forward as posable

I'd say yes for sure...and never thought to look. I ended up getting the reciever and esc mounted yesterday, and just stuffed the full length battery out of the front to get it rolling around and do some testing though. Pics to come. Truck will be on 2s for my son and I'll try him on 3s as he gets familiar with the truck.

Couple of updated pictures to keep the build going...
Picked up a new shorty today and completed electronics install. Rig is performing great, just have a lot of details to install on the scale side of things.

It's been pretty hacked at this point in time...but the cage was taken from a Losi Nightcrawler that's getting cut up and combined with an SCX10 II frame.

Current results...

-PT servo
-Spektrum rx and radio
-Reedy Wolfpack 2S
-Duratrax Tires mounted and glued on plastic wheels with stock foams
-Losi Shocks rebuilt with 20wt Team Assosiated oil
-Progressive springs

Progress for the evening is complete as I keep procrastinating on making body panels. Ordered a Team KNK monster hardware kit for this rig and my TRX4 as well. Enjoy.

Almost has a mini-SMT10 look to it

something ive noticed about my e10 its vary durable on 2s parts just plain ware out before they break on 3s its hard to keep it together stuff breaks alittle to easy the up side to that is you upgrade with og scx10 parts and you end up with a great rig just a extremely old design but a great rig

PD it kinda does lol. For the 3s, when that time comes I'm hoping that the metal driveline components handle it, and if not...redo it and leave it at 2s for buddies and just buy him another TRX4 or something similar. So far it has amazing flex and ability for such a combo of parts.

If you have a 3D printer print the skid off thingaverse for a Gen7. Print the wide version and you will not need to swap ball ends. If you don't have a 3D printer get a Vader skid for the Gen7 and a set of Traxxas 1942 Revo rod ends. it will fix the poor suspension geometry. Nice swap to the Losi shocks. There is nothing good about the Redcat shocks. Springs are way to hard for crawling.

What about a jpconcepts creep body instead of making panels?

I'm wondering if shapeways has someone printing the skids...
He has looked at bodies at the local HS and online as well but he at this point doesn't even want the panels lol. I let him mess around with the 3S a little and now he just wants to drive it constantly and I'm not upset about that! Also...the ride height has become considerably lower...

Working on new treads utilizing the factory tires and wheels.

Also took the rigs out for a trail ride at 40 Acre Rock, beautiful day!

i cut 2 of my e10 tires like that i ruined them in my opinion they create a hoping motion when on the rocks instead of biting and i thought they would do good in the sand but they just dig right in theres a tire moding thread on here somewere that goes in to what tire cuts work and what dident and i think a few uf us had the same issues with that cut
not 5hat there good tires or.anything but when it hits 100°+outside those tire do pretty good on a heavy truck

only cut tires. post up your cut tire photos

Yeah that looks more like a paddle tire now. If you saved the lugs you can glue them back on

If those Everest wheels are 2.2 there are some good scale-ish choices out there, I just grabbed some of the 2.2 Axial BFG Krawlers and they are nice, and don't need any cutting I don't think. Maybe some sipes.
