Default Raising rock sliders?

What are/are not the benefits of raising the skid plates?

Pros:
ground clearance

Cons:
Have to trim the body to fit

just raising the skid plate raises your center of gravity making it more tippy also it screws up your suspention geomitry depending on what you do after.
the wraith we.used to do a tummy tuck or raised the skid on the chassie then lower the rig back down to the original location to efectively lowering the cog of the entire rig and brings the suspention geomitry back to stockish range

so basicly raising the ride hight of the skidd plate is bad um-k and lowering the chassie down on to the skid plate is good um-k

From your picture I assume you're actually referring to raising the rock sliders not the skid (the skid is in the middle).

Raising rock sliders (especially metal ones) may raise your COG a tiny bit but I wouldnt worry about it much. I'd be more interested in just making them work with the body.

I’m pretty sure he’s talking about rock sliders, not the actual skid plate. But yeah this is true for a skid plate.
