| MOGWAI, the cat pee-scented Gen8 Unimog
So a year or so back I traded off my Gen8 to my cousin and never thought about it again. Then he found it in the back of his closet and just offered it back to me. Only problem is, apparently at some point his cats peed all over the thing. It was covered in dried piss and cat hair, so wearing gloves, I Febreezed the damn thing and chucked it into a shopping bag and brought it home. If it looks wet, that's because I steam cleaned it in my shower for about a half hour to kill the smell and rinse it off. I'll eventually be breaking the whole chassis down to the screws to deep clean and re-grease everything. The general idea is something like this: Do I have the skills to pull it off? Probably not. Will that deter me? Probably not. |

I love Unimogs! Got a bunch of other rigs needing work first, but I have a Axial UMG10 body nicely weathered by a member here... Dropping it on a Vanquish VS4-10 chassis, TRX-4 axles, with an Enduro transmission. I'll be watching your build for more ideas! (I need to get the real-deal grille and lights from ShapeWays next) |

Thanks for the interest, guys! I'm still sourcing parts for this one, so expect it to be pretty slow-going. To ease myself back into scratchbuilding, I will likely make the box hollow, and out of styrene sheet. For drivability, I likely won't detail the interior of the box so as to keep weight down and center of gravity low. The cab will likely have a full interior, though. |

you could.use syrafoam for the funrniture inside the box and it wont add much weight if you end up wanting a interior in side the camper box
