You are the first one to take it to a comp - that says something about a person - no failure in trying. Keep us posted on build...

Motors are still a trial and error thing for this rig, unfortunately. I would suggest the 13 turn cobalts, but they're incredibly hard to find right now. I would like to see folks trying random 380 size motors so there can be options.

As long as it's a 380 sized motor (and I'm pretty sure it is) it should fit the RS10 axles. How well it works would be a different story. They're cheap enough it might be worth checking out. One issue to be aware of, though is the pinions on the stock RS10 motors. I had a pretty tough time getting my set screws loose and out of frustration bought a couple of new pinions for the cobalts. The stock pinion set screws are super small and easy to strip.

x2 i stripped my set screws on both pinion gears. Has anyone found a smaller or different pinion that works well yet

Those are the pinions I picked up. I'm running two of the 10t pinions right now. I might try to track down some 9t and 11t pinions at some point to see how those work out. As long as you find some pinions that are 48 pitch and fit a 2.3mm shaft they should work well with the stock gears.

Exclamation Redcat Rs10

man am i glad to see a rs10 thread. i bought a cliffclimber, my 2 neighbors bought redcats, another has an ax10. those rs10 are something else. sooo capable. just put some rovers white on there. man o man. and its not like a driver thing either- we are constantly trying the same line in other rigs as well. when my buddy first got his, we went to the local indoor course out here. the man let us in after closing when he heard we were new to the hobby. so we are now seeing a real comp course damn not quite like my back yard we are goofing around on the course when the man comes in with his own personal berg rig and rips off some gates from the comp the night before. whoa never having seen a real rig before that then the man (A Pro) comes up starts talking with us, then he asks to see the redcat. he procedes to get through two fairly hard gates with a bone stock rs10 ...

Well I just ordered a tq3 radio. I plan on locking out my rear steer and adding a dig unit to make it more comp leagal and a better crawler. Im still on stock tires. I might soften mine some before I buy new ( im kinda tight on cash). But I'll post a new link of my build when I get all my stuff.
