Yes they are. I'm running internal springs under the piston along with losi white springs on the outside. 1/2 droop 1/2 sprung? Ride height is exactly 3 inches. It works really well IMO.

Those are Banebot 390s in my pics. I burnt the stock motors shortly after getting the rig. The banebots perform decent but Im definitely looking for an upgrade. Maybe the Holmes hobbies 454 pullers. The only thing is they are about 4 mm longer than the banebots and with them I have no room already

The banbots are ok with 3 cell lipos.. but they rotate 1/2 turn for a redcat full turn.... much slower... but alot more torque

Are you useing the stock ESC with the 3s lipo? I didn't think it would take the voltage.

Here's my new radio. Not really new...I use it on my helis. Pen springs on throttle to return stick to center. Easily goes on and off when I want to fly my helis. Programmed in all steering modes like stock radio but now I can add front/rear dig and control another esc if I decide to go that route.

Now I just have to get used to the controls but man what control

This is a good thread, now maybe I have some motivation to play with my RS10 again.
So in short....no one has really found better motors
Wiring mod help slightly with clod stall
Drooping is the way to go
Change out "wings" on top of axles to some sort of custom 4link setup

Default Pinion pitch

What pitch pinion gears does this thing take? Are they 48 pitch or something different?

Default motor option?

Hey newbie here, my rs10 is on the way. Just wondering if this might be an option for the motors. http://www.hobbypartz.com/alpha-370-...ess-motor.html

Yep, the pinions are 48 pitch. I picked up a pair of 10t pinions from rc4wd when I got new motors for mine. Here's a link to the ones I got.

cul8tr, not sure on the motors. Those could be more of a high speed motor than a crawler motor, and I think you might need a different ESC for brushless also. Maybe some of the folks with brushless experience will chime in with info.

Rig's lookin good, cvona.
I'm curious how the dig is workin out for you also. As far as changing steering knuckles, I would imagine that some of the aluminum aftermarket knuckles would work well, or would work with slight modification.
Next steps for my RS10 are: revision 2 of my chassis, dig switch box (the one stickied in the berg forum), possibly trying to re-configure my steering so my steering links don't get all beat up.
