| My new RS10 build
Well the time has come for my newest build. With the comp season coming soon, I want to put together a RS that will be the best it can possibly be. Id like to give special thanks to Darin at Redcat and Jason at Krawler Hobbies for all the help and support! We are testin the Montrucks Katana chassis along with several other changes. Heres the list of the goods, Katana chassis Dogman delrin lowers w/Revo rod ends Custom 3/8 delrin uppers w/Revo rod ends Losi 4" shocks (might run shorter shocks though) Novak Rooster Crawler ESC Banebot 395 motors(testing them anyway) Punk dig switch CC BEC Hitec 5955TG servo Custom delrin rear steer lock out DNA Thrashers with Rovers DNA Thrashers with X-locks (will be testing several different tires) With the shock already monted to the axle housing this should be a very capable rig. The idea I have for the rear steer lockout should work very well and much better then using a turn buckle. Pics will be coming soon, but here is a couple before pics. The setup I had did work very well but I did need some improving. Pretty much bone stock, Original mods, Flex will be more limited on the new build, Let the building begin!!! Lookin forward to this thread! Btw, how come everyone and their dog it seems, has cool aftermarket wheels, I looked into wheels for changing the backspace, and some bling of course, and the things are frikken expensive up here!!!!!! Are they that cheap down in the states, that you can have 2, or 3 sets with rubber lying around? I gotta get in on this action!

Wheels are a bit pricey in the states as well. Check the classifieds on here...I picked up a set of msd topgun wheels, rock claw tires, and foams for $60 USD shipped.

I have about $80 in my set with Rovers and I picked up the other set with X-locks for cheap used. I also have Axial plastic wheels with Comp Claws and a set of stock RS wheels with Rock claws.

Your servo alone cost 1/2 the price of the rig. LOL (but ya got the best) That's what I meant by I'll be spending money like mad. after I fix the servo. I wanna get some HB rovers. What you are doing is looking really good and can't wait to see how you place in the comp. later Rich |

The links will be redyed black, to match the black/red theme of the rig. I think with the rest of the stuff I have ordered from you I will be set pretty well. Thanks again Jason for all of your help and support.

is there any way you can mount the lower links on the inside of the chassis? I am forever hanging up on them on the stock chassis. Gonna make a homebrew setup to cover the screw heads.....

Quick update, my delrin for the upper links just arrived, I should have the rest of the parts and the punk dig early next week. I procrastinated on the Punk dig whether I wanted to make a switch or the Punk. I figured since no one has tried it on the RS yet I might as well give it a try. Ill post more pics as I get more done.
