Mine works unbelievablely well for something I threw together. I went back and found the thread with the material I used and he used a piece of brake line in one of the screen grooves to help stiffen the back bone. I guess ill run by autozone tomorrow.

metal curtain rod would stiffen it up quite well . I was searching my house for springy materials one day, dont ask! I have the original pimp cane chassis, Im wondering how well it would work.

Hey camobob long time.

I did this after trading you axles. It worked, I used platic mini blind. It was good for going up steps and over tall stuff, but not ideal for comping. It was way too top heavy.

It was fun for messing with though.

I have som really small 3s packs that can fit on the axle , I think the only weight I would have up top would be the body and chassis. Will keep you guys updated . The last one I made could sit on both side wheels without being tipped over.

i used a small piece of aluminium angle....then upgraded to a plastic angle that was a little thicker then the aluminium. i used the top two holes the wing/top four link tab orignally bolts through. enlarged to 1/8" then through bolted with 3m screws and mounted the "cane" to that. this pic might help.

I like your adaptations of the pimp cane but those are just torsion chassis'. A Pimp Cane was made by R2J, alot of testing and design went into materials and setup of the OG Pimp Cane. So that my friends is why he is .

Although a good fallback , there has been soo many advances in chassis design to warrant it . Although I do not speak for R2J , I bet his other chassis are worth taking a look at .
