anyone have something figured out. that stands up to the stock motors. was looking into traxxas slash universals. will they drop in besides cutting to length. and drilling a pin hole? |

They should work with a few mods because I'm using the stock slash/stampede plastic universals from traxxas. I had to dremel the inboard end of the universal shaft to make the setscrew hole align with the hole on the rs10 locker and also had to dremel the inside of the axle tubes because the plastic universals are so big around. I don't think I really increased the steering angle with these but I think it would using steel units . I just tried the cheap plastic ones first to see if they would hold up to my 540 conversion and so far, they are taking the abuse even when i hit the throttle with a front wheel in a bind.
