Just a suggestion:

If you haven't already, I would set the brake to 100%, or crawler, mode. On the Axial branded version and the one on my buddy's E10 the 'jumper' needs to be on the left side. Hard to tell in your picture what the sticker on the front of the ESC says. Just judging by the position of the 'jumpers'.

For those of you that got an E10 for a cheap start.. you WILL get sucked in

..believe it or not that started as an everest. The front axle is still all redcat minus the axial locker. Rear axle had to switch to scx10 because the original broke

But you have to admit. It got you out and crawling. You got hooked and now look at you building a sweet looking rig. Looks like the Everest has progressed as you have.

That's for sure!! It took about a week to progress to a scx10 chasis and it was game over from there!

Just want to give a shout out to anyone that was thinking of getting another one.. really all you need to make these reliably fun is the axial lockers. You can get those and the truck for less than what the truck costs right now! Plus free shipping and easy pay so only 44 bucks for 3 months.. not that 134 is a lot of money but hey no interest so why not!

Hello, new to the forum (first post) and new to crawling. I went with a E10 as my first crawler to learn with. It's a super low budget build where Im basically just making and modifying everything myself in probably the worst way.

Only mod I spent money on was the 25mm wheel spacers that were $10. I put a 27t stock motor out of a stampede in it for the extra speeds. Still has enough low speed control. I made a bracket strapping down a weight from a nerf gun to stiffen the badly designed mounting point. Cut tires. Bent the stock links. Both top and bottom. I made a horrible rear chassis extension that I did not think would last but has actually been doing good. Even though it bends. It holds up still. 20g of weight on top of servo. About 40g of weight in each of the front wheels. I jb welded the rear steering knuckles because they would twist bad from the torque and weight. Does solid wheelies after I jb welded them. I just cut the stock springs about 10mm shorter to get some droop and got it sitting right where I want it. Better flexibility too.

Definitely plan on doing more mods. Have em lined up. Let me know what you think.

UnderDoggo, looks good!

Does the extended chassis plate setting the shock more vertical help with the torque twist at all?

It helps. Not a lot. I plan on relocating the lower links inwards soon to see how much that helps.

Those black clips that came with for the socks, put all 4 in the rear. I have 3 on each side and it works how I want it to. Leave the front loose

Has anyone found a front bumper that fits the E10? I see the holes on the bottom of the axle case, and was just wondering. I tend to catch on the axle case alot, and was wanting something to help stop it from happening.

the exceed maxstone 10 bumper fits but it will hang up on more stuff than just not using one. My kids got an e10 and maxstone10 which comes with two bumpers. We put one on each until we realized they were more trouble than they are worth. Cutting the nubs off would be a better solution if they are getting in the way.

Yeah the bumper is horrible. It came on my HSP version. Removing it was the first thing I did then cutting off the side posts so they don't catch on things.

A lot of folks trim those off. Just be careful with the tab on the diff case. I just rounded mine of a bit. If you remove too much material, you'll expose the gears.

Yeah the rear one can be an issue. I made the mistake of cutting mine too far and made a hole

I used JB weld to fill the hollow area of that tab from the inside and then ground it into the shape I wanted. No issues thus far.

I've since replaced mine with SCX10 housings but I have plans for these and planned on doing either this ^^^ or melting the housing with a soldering iron and closing the gap.

I just swaped one of my stampedes for the maxstone 10 somewhere I read u cant put a 550 motor in not sure why but I have a 550 in mine with stock spur an a 16 tooth pinion gear the mesh is a bit tight but I have a smaller spur that wil bolt right up just gotta track it down no foams stock tire no weight yet lol an the junk bumpers were gone even befor I got it I will say since ive dropped in the 550 in moves hella better think ill be savein up for some better rims with a wider offset an metal beadloc rings as this has plastic ones other then that its stock gonna grab a set of the alum lockers also as when I got it had to swap the front one out it was toasted but its a fun truck an to me handles just like my ole ax10 I had last year I just realised that the e10 tvp plates are a bit shorter then on my maxstone lol that would explain why I can stuff a 550 without hittin the upper link bolts

They are awesome trucks. My only two recommendations are: beef up the diffs via epoxy, upgrade to metal from Redcat, or use Axial iron crosses. Second, upgrade the servo for heavy crawling. That said I run the 15kg Hexfly on my RS10 and no issues yet.

Have fun!

I would also add 4 wheel steering. I was able to do it for under $30 and it makes a world of a difference.
