what a fun crawler. works well out of the box but also has a lot of room for improvements
for those who like to tinker. you have a good start going with servos, metal gear with 12kg-20kg torque
can be found for 10.00 to 30.00 bucks. if you need places to find them just ask

a few more things to consider
before buying tires you might remove the foams or at least seriously cut into them, the sidewalls are pretty stiff.
siping the tread seems to help a lot too for better grip. some of the guys have been pretty creative.
imo this crawler needs a bit wider wheelbase. recommend either 1/2" wheel wideners or wheels
with about 1/2" more offset. this will help with both roll overs and wheel/tire rubbing on links
and motors and shocks.
center of gravity needs to be addressed as well. it is a bit high as it sits.
and one more thing on wheelbase is the length. I found 13.25" - 13.5" was good to climb
the steps at my house

there are a lot of rs10 crazies out here so don't be shy in asking questions
be sure to include lots pictures for our enjoyment

I have 2 stock servos I will give you while you wait for your new ones to come in in case yours don't
make it that long.

have fun

You'd be hard pressed to find a better value than the Solar D772 from Hobby Partz.
Solar Servo D772 High Voltage 0.17sec@7.4v 64g Digital Metal Gear

Just a tip: get a BEC to take the load off the ESC for driving them and you can program a CC BEC to run 7.4VDC into those servos to get the most power out of them.

Best LiPo batteries by far are the Turnigy Nano Tech and you get them from Hobby King. 2s unless you want to replace the ESC.
Here's a 2200mah that would last at least 30 minutes Turnigy nano-tech 2200mah 2S 40~80C Lipo Pack (TRA2820 Traxxas 1/16 models)

Just an FYI 3s really wakes up the little motors but the ESC won't like it.

Best Charger for the money IMO is the iMax B6AC but beware of imitations. Here's the one I got a year ago and use several times a day
IMAX B6 AC B6AC LiPo NiMH 3S RC Battery Balance Charger | eBay

Have fun!

I get my servos at hobby king takes a while but at 10 dollars each it is worth it for a 12kg metal gear servo

Towerpro MG946R 12kg 55g / 12kg / .20sec

and while you are there they also have a foolproof lipo charger that charges through the balance port
for a truly balanced charge at a good price

HexTronik Balancer/Charger Dual Charge Capable

they are on backorder at the moment but are well worth waiting for. I have three lipo chargers, one is a hyperion eos 0720 I ad
it will charge and discharge anything and even give you computer printout to boot. but the hextronix is very easy to use

if there is an rc airplane club out there go ask them about chargers, they wrote the book on lipos. they will be more
than happy to tell you what is the best batteries, chargers, etc.. hahahaha

there are many products out there, it is all about your budget and your time
you can buy an aluminum servo horn from china for 2 dollars or buy the same one from some guy here for 15.00.
the trick is to have fun

So I took foams out completely to see how it runs with out them. Should I keep truck on a stand so I don't get flat spots. And also about sipping some of treads on tires what do u think best way to do it snips dremel etc?

always a good idea to keep the weight off the tires for prolonged times but who ever does it? haha
a block of wood is cheap

dremels are over rated imo I have torn up too many of them. use snips (those high dollar toe nail clippers your wife has
but don't let her catch you using them), after you get the majority of the material off the tread you want to get off, then
use the dremel with the drum sander to make them look spiffy

have you looked through some of the build threads and the picture gallery?
some clever work has been done over the years
