Exclamation Mark's Commanche RS10xt Thread

Just started the build on my RS10xt when in came in the mail the other day. Body I'm starting with is the Proline Jeep Commanche. Going for a scale-ish look, I will update my progress periodically. If anyone else has any RS10xt scale-ish builds post them here!

Body fitting...looking good.

Body sliced and fitted with the Proline Light Bar. Ran into some troubles with the stock body posts, had to macgyver some extenders using sliced up pen bodies. Works like a charm. I also made shock restrictors out of them, it works nicely.

Painted up and ready to do some trail riding

New Guy here, I'm loving my Everest 16, weighed down and with a rear steer mod, and now I'm getting ready to pull the trigger on the RS10. Seeing your scale-ish mockups give me more confidence that I can pull off something similar. Keep up the good work!

Thanks guys! Small updates today:

1. Waterproofed the receiver with an old traxxas waterproof housing.
2. Swapped out the Hexfly servos for some waterproof Traxxas 2075's.

I want to continue waterproofing, has anyone taken these motors into water with any success? Also, has anyone tried to waterproof the esc?

I've ran mine through streams with no issues. Just make sure to clean out the motors after you get home or they may start to rust. Here's mine out at little moab
