Default Everest 10 Lipo Ready?

So im sure this has been discussed, and i have tried searching and havent come up with a definitive answer. My E10 is stock as far as the electronics and drive line goes. Last night i plugged the battery in to charge and i am getting no feed back from the charger. No lights on or anything. I dont think its charging.

First question, Could it be the stock battery or the charger? The truck is only 6 months old.

Secondly, I have a couple 2s lipos that are good kicking around. Can i just run them instead? I know the ESC is apparently LIPO ready, but does it have the low voltage cut off? Is there a certain setting i have to put it on to run the LIPOS?

Regarding your second question, yes the stock ESC is lipo ready. You have to change the position of a jumper on the ESC to switch to lipo mode. This enables the LVC. FYI, I have two E10s (one is for my son) and on one of them the LVC didn't work properly. You might consider one of those low voltage alarms until you're sure that yours works.

Actually, if you have a more current E10, it may be lipo ready. If it has jumpers to select for lipo, then it's 2s and 3s lipo ready. If it's an older one (maybe you bought a used one?), the ESC won't have jumpers and is not lipo ready. You would have to use a low voltage warning buzzer or install a low voltage cutoff with the older one.

does the RS10 also have this lipo cutoff. Im not sure if they upgraded the ESC with the newest batchs of the rs10 (new body and upper links) Ive got the 2nd gen. Anyone knew about the esc on it or a lipo cuttoff. I already bought a sencor thing so its no big deal but it would be good to know

At the risk of sounding like some of the heels on here, you should look up the specs on whatever ESC is on your truck. They've changed things up a lot in the last couple years. Also, you gotta learn to start researching things for yourself. Otherwise, you'll never progress further than you currently skill set in this hobby.

Flattery will get you know where. LOL

Pretty much, if it has jumpers, there should be a sticker on the side that has a "map" for how to switch to lipo.

If it doesn't have jumpers and is original ESC, it likely isn't lipo capable.
