E10. Gear box upgrade/swap

I broke the shaft coming out of the gearbox that the spur gear calls home. I can only find the full gear box as a set not the individual internal parts. Is there better gear box that will drop in to the stock location with out to much fabrication.thanks in advance

You could switch to an scx10/ax10 transmission without too much trouble. I believe you'd just need to drill 2 new holes in your skidplate to make it work. My son stripped the top gear in his e10 trans so he just bought another complete redcat transmission for ~$20. I should have checked to see if the axial top gear would work, in which case, I bet an axial top shaft could work too?

What u do is just buy scx10 gears. No modding needed. Use the same gear box. Everest center tranny is a clone of the scx10. I am using hot racing scx10 hardened aluminum gears in my everest tranny right now. You have to use the scx10 outdrives as well.
