| Traxxas Slash & Losi Desert Truck Side by Side
Hey guys Finally got a good supply of the slash trucks in stock. I busted one open to run a pack through. After I took some comparison pics. Once I get more packs run through the Slash I will give my opinion on each. Here are a few pics. |

| This is a little off subject but the tires from both trucks look like they would make a decent 2.2 scale tire.....how do the compounds feel ? |

For me I like the Losi truck for running at home because I have a non groomed terriain. Lots of weeds, rock driveway with 3/4 crush rock. The Losi to me is a all around great basher. They Slash will be more fun on groomed tracks or loose dirt terrain. I did not like driving it on the stuff around my house like I like using the Losi. I am not knocking the Slash by anymeans. I am going to keep mine for sure and use it for ruinning with the guys on a track we have made up. Hope this help some. Thanks Corey | |

I'm in .. thanks for the chance. Thanks for posting the side by side shot. Had a chance to take my first hands on look @ the Slash this past weekend. Fellow had it out at a crawler comp we were doing. But the LDT I didn't know even existed until today and I saw this posting... LOL. Hmmm, after lookin at all these electric trucks coming out. I might be a bit more willing to sell my nitro Savage 25.. LOL. Have to stop by the LHS at some point for a hands on lookie @ the LDT. |

I saw the Slash at the hobby shop today, it looks like a Rustler with a few mods. I read a few reviews of the LDT, and from what I hear it is based on a very well thought out chassis, also it comes with DSM. I think I will be buying the LDT. In a drag race with the same MaH battery and voltage, which one is faster? Last edited by Usmc8541; 06-18-2008 at 12:56 PM. |

For those who haven't looked the traxxas up on there site it is a Stampede chassis with the VXL trans so steel gears and it is fully water proof. something to think about.... |

well, losi tried... they really need to venture away from the same old stadium truck thing. being open wheeled kills it IMO.

Put some good packs through it today and its definatly bash worthy IMO Speed wise I have to say they are pretty darn close. Unfortunallty I do not have anyone to run the other to do a side by side tonight. I am really pleased with the Slash and agree its a nice touch to have the body over the tires. Awesome to race and crunch fenders and not treads. Thats the biggest downfall i feel on the LDT has great features, but just got the satadium truck thing goin on. |
