This was my 3rd attempt at an SCX10 rig with just the bare essentials to make it completely waterproof, 3s, MIPs, Robinson gears, SHD lockers with OD front UD rear, R2j 4 link rear, Hand bros cms 3 link front, GMade XO's 93mm adjustable oil pressure shocks, junker Integy 55T with an OG waterproofed V1 Sidewinder and CC BEC, Pitbulls with CI foams on CAC BL's with Junfac hubs, super old waterproofed Hitec 5645MG. The goal was to keep it below $500 and still have a capable rig that could hang with the honchos running lexan and much lighter weight. Total came out to just a hair over $510!! Armor was very tastefully done by ScaleReady when he just got started. I think the whole package set me back only about $65 no more than $70 shipped. Great guy to deal with!! I told him what baja style designs I wanted and we just chatted back and forth. The most impressive piece is the rear end bumper guard where he incorporated a sweet baja style skid plate below. Of course to top it all off was the Tamiya Tundra hardbody in two colors with all the laser cut metal emblems, light buckets, wipers, mirrors, lenses, paints, clear coat, plastic polish, etc and mating the bed and cab while still making it look like two pieces. End result turned out siiick! TCSCrawlers threw it on their website! Too bad I didn't even get a bag of free bearings LOL.      |
