Default DHOFFROAD Tubers By Rpp Hobby COMING SOON!

Hey Everyone

We are looking to bring out a line of tube frames. We are working with Danny at DHOFFROAD who has built alot of 1 to 1 Crawlers.

Our initial thoughts are to offer competition tube frame that can compete against the moon buggy type tubers yet hold a great scale look too.

We are asking you all for your input. We want to know what would you like or want?

Thanks for the read and any input. Corey Rpp Hobby

We are looking to make it as economical as possible. We will most likely offer a few options like

Full Roller Tube Chassis, links, axles, shocks, tranny, wheels/tires.

Tube Chassis and link/mounts, option for axles and or tranny if wanted

Tube Chasis by itself

Or other options depending on what everyone is looking for.

I'd love to own tubers that close or exact to some of JIA's tubers. I would also love a more scale MT tuber than NewEra's. But as with all things on budget you're limited. But ya got my picks on what I'd like to see a production of on the market.

without a doubt the one tuber i would like to see is a 2 seater poison spyder bruiser style jeep tuber.
made from 1/4 brake line. not 3/16 solid rod, if you do the math 3/16 is only 1.8" tubing in 1:1 scale, to small to be realistic.

I really like the tubers with bodies, like the rubi tubers and the fj40s, something that actually looks sorta scale/real ;)

FYI...most cages are built using 1.75" tubing, and sometimes even 1.5" in places. Even the Bruiser is built using 1.75". 2" is primarily only used on heavy rigs...for instance if your building a cage for something like a full sized SUV or the like. Tubing size usually relates to vehicle weight. 3/16" is perfect scale for a 1:10 scale tube chassis.

I'd like to see a tuber chassis modeled after the Karnivore/Zero G from Avalanche Engineering.

I would like a nice tuber like Offroader5 suggested also, but with a wacker body precut and made to fit also, maybe some painted options, i really enjoy all of your scale work Corey ,and really like the way you have painted all of your rigs

Building one to resemble the Zero G above could also work well using an HPI body, and you could include it with the tuber precut to just use the sides, hood, front fenders, and back....would look sooo close to the actual Karnivore it would be sick!

I have wanted to have someone build me a cage to fit this body for a lonnng time. I suck at brazing

this may sound like a dumb suggestion since all the tubers that have been made so far are steel or alum. how about a nylon tuber check out custom works sprint cars if you dont know what i am talking about..
the cost of mold making at first would be high. but after that you can blow out as many tubers as you want that are the same. I think someone will do this eventually. you could have your tube guy do the design and then send it off to the mold makers. should be low budget once you get it rolling.

make them with lots of link and shocks locations for tuning... and make them look like the real comp crawlers you see on t.v. also im in for one that is for the wk axles. with HC links.. offer them in raw so we can paint them ourselves..

Don't make them cheap. If people want quailty, let them pay for quailty.

Make various linksets for TLT, WK, and AX axles.

Try and make it work with a number of transmissions.

Try and make it convert from droop to sprung and vice versa.

Make battery location, ESC location, Rx location all very well thought out and user friendly.

Make body panels bolt on.

Offering it raw metal is a good option.

Make it look cool.

I'm working on a Karnivore, and that's an excellent idea for a body. Allready ruined an H2 body trying to narrow it. Karnivore

How about the sniper instead

Any scale tuber would be nice, how about a halfcab truggy/war pig frame.

How about a Formula Toy, slap it on a bruiser frame... though that would kick the price way up.

I would LOVE something like what's in mxmheros sig, I think it would be cool to have some like that and maybe offer a couple entry/budget tubers as well, but I think the majority like more scale loking tubers. When can we see some prototypes or something??

well allot of changes need to be made to this to make me happy (and Correy too). I was trying to keep it small but I think I need to "stretch" it out a little more, prob over the front. oh yea I'm keeping all the specs withen "comp rules" and making a pede tranny and stick pack fit since if those fit then anything will fit.
