Default are there any changes to the rules for 2009?

just want to make sure my club is running the most current set of rules.

They have not been released yet. You're fine with the 08 rules for now.

Hey Dave, I've got a question for you. I think I was told that you cannot reverse through a gate unless you started the course in reverse. But reading through the rules I found this:

7.2.3 - A vehicle may travel through a gate while it is in reverse and still clear that gate as long as it only
travels though in the intended direction (reverse penalty(s) will be assessed as necessary).

Whoever told you that was wrong..You can drive through a gate marker in reverse, but as that rule states, you must go through the gate in the intended direction. You can not pass the gate, reverse through it, then pull forward through it

What it was is that some were saying that you had to go through the finish gate in the same direction as you went through the start gate. So if you stared the course going forward you could not go through the finish gate in reverse. This however this is not true. TwistedCreations is correct.

hey i was told this weekend at a local comp that if i stsrted in rev i had to finish in rev thanks for clearing this up for me
