| There should be start and finish gates. Start and finish gates count only for penalty points, and not for progress points. The time starts as the vehicle breaks the plane of the start gate, and stops when the vehicle breaks the plane of the finish gate. Penalties start as the vehicle breaks the plane of the start gate. We would then score all penalty points in the gate 1 box until gate 1 is progressed through. So a 6 gate course, would only really be getting progress for 4 gates, minus 1&6 for start/finish. Any penaltys from start to, and through gate 1 would be under 1 etc. Hope that clears it up some for you. Last edited by freetimecrawler; 04-26-2009 at 08:04 PM. |
