Winching off your shoe is a safety hazzard. You could cause yourself to fall down or you foot could get sucked into the winch spool.

I made something similar to that. Called it a land ancor though. Not that impressive either. It's next to the hook in this pic (not a very good pic though) |

lol funily enough i was thinking of building one the other day but decided on a rod you push into the ground with a little eyelit on the top i only got as far as a proto type, the base is u channel and the arm things are poly prop couldn't see it holding up to winching also sorry for the horrid quality, camera isn't great |

whats stabilizes it left to right? to keep it from just flopping over as you start to pull on it?

some one ussualy holds it and once it starts digging into the ground it should hold its self
