| Scale accessories for my FJ40...
So, I decided to try my hand at making some things for my FJ40 scale project. So far I have: Here's the project. Side Mirrors with real mirrored glass installed. Roof rack, shovel and pick-axe. Rack mount for shovel and pick-axe. Cut the bushwhacker grill to make more scale looking grill(going to re-do the metal fab, this was just playing with a drill). Heavy, heavy duty front bumper(PTO style winch being added). Milled out of solid aluminum. Sticker sheet(same as my old 1:1). Comments appreciated, thanks for looking. Well, I have no way to figure that out here at home...It is lighter than it looks though being aluminum. It also has a 1/4" deep cavity hollowed out ion the back that runs most of the length. I am going to put it on a little diet before the final finishes. I will probably mill a little off the top and bottom plus maybe chunk a few more angles in there. I like looking at the pretty angles...LOL If I get a chance, I will bring it into the post office and weigh it though.... JB |

Thank you very much!!! I put some work into those parts. I am glad they came out the way they did. I am working on changing the entire frame/chassis now in the solid aluminum. I will mill it like the bumper but with thinner material. Kinda like the TCS trail chassis, but for a WK tranny. Motor mount will be custom and under the hood. I just wish I had more time on nice machines. I only get Tues and Thurs to play.... JB | ||
