Building a scalish trailer for my rigs, and I was wondering what most people are using for the wheels/tires on their trailers? This would be towed behind a 1.9 scaler if that makes any difference.

I've used stock Hilux wheels and tires on one of mine and I know a lot of guys use 1.9 sedan wheels and tires as well. Hope that answers your question.

. Are sedan wheels the same as drift and touring car wheels?

you cant go wrong with hpi stock car wheels. cheap and available in different offsets

The trailer still has Hilux wheels and tires on it

I used front buggy tires & wheels. The nice part is you can buy the axles and easily adapt them to the trailer.

What about HPI vintage or mini wheels and tires or Losi/RPM Mini-T fronts? They're probably a little closer to trailer wheels since they are a bit smaller in diameter. You're probably have to narrow the rims and tires for a more scale look.

I'm going to be building a trailer soon and might use one of these these.

I actually found some airplane wheels that seemed to work well, and they were cheap

! Still needs lots of work, but it's a start:

The deck actually has about 0.5" on either side of the crawler, just doesn't show it in the photos. In most cases, this trailer will be hauling vehicles with a slightly narrower track width anyways.

Deck is removable so that it can easily be changed up in the future if need be.

Balsa has been pressure fit into the deck frame and is supported by sheet steel which it will be double sided taped to so that it can be easily replaced when needed. Wood needs to be stained and aged. I decided to use balsa as it keeps the weight down, and will "age" nicely with dents, etc.

What happens when you don't watch your kids close enough in the hobby area

! Luckily it's on the bottom, and it adds a bit of a personal touch to the trailer.
