Default I need Led suggestions

I want to hear what leds work for you and where ya got them.I have a roof rack that need 5 3mm leds and i would like to find the brightest ones made.Let hear what ya got and from where

got some from radio shack, but they weren't very bright. I am thinking about getting a "head" light. The kind that straps to your head for hands free use and using those lights, they seem to be pretty bright for the most part.

I outfitted my scaler with 5mm LED's from Bill Custom RC lighting. Great guy with tons of knowledge. Be can build to suit of send you what you need to complete the work yourself.Tell him I sent you.

Cannibalize a battery powered stick-up LED closet lamp or flashlight from the dollar store. They are also a great source of reflectors!

Way cheaper than Radioshack or electronics stores.

I second Bill's. I just got my LED setup from him and couldn't be happier. They are nice and bright and the worksmanship of his products are top notch.

I just get my LEDs from local electronics store,and a resister to suit input voltage and amount of leds and its done , and cheap.

another vote here for bills custom rc lighting. His stuff is TOP notch. I have a set of the 6 leds for my truck and now a set of the proline light pods with 5mm leds in them
These things are wicked. They came take some serious abuse also.

Run them off a 9v and they will blind you.
