| building an interior for my honcho point me in the right direction!
just as the title says. im thinking of using styrene and making a floorboard that will jut up in the middle for the trans but i am very lost on how to do the dashboard and seats etc. i know for little things ill make out of styrene or the axial interior details. any thing you guys can show or tell me and please post links to threads about building an interior! share your knowledge! |

an easy way is rob an interior from a cheap toy car. i've seen several successful interiors done this way, just cut it to fit. there are some posted on here, i just don't know any off the top of my head.

You could use the axial CF100 interior. Its just a tad bit to narrow but you can fit that easy. http://www.rpphobby.com/product_p/ax4011.htm One of the Honchos build by Axial was done this way

I just got the honcho too - and will be making a full interior as well. I'm going to making it similar to how I made the interior for my f350. http://www.rccrawler.com/forum/showthread.php?t=140070&page=5 A few pics of the new toyota interior and it should be a snap. I made everything using styrene and for the dials, just found something I liked on the internet and printed it out using my computer. Then just glued it in place and wha-la, a full instrument panel to my liking with an interior that worked. It's not a 100% complete interior because I filled the cab with electronics but the base floorboard covered in scale diamond plate made for a decent look that still is scale. I had to cut my driver in half and affix him using a screw from below the floorboard and up into the figure. It's OK - he didnt feel anything after I cut him in half. |
