Default Notebook bungees

I have seen a thread on here showing how to make scale bungee cords. I tried using the wire from a spiral notebook and I was surprised how well it worked. It has a smaller diameter than the paper clips and you get a lot from one notebook. Just though I would share.

Here's my homemade bungees. I bought a box of these hooks at a local flea-market. I used small hair ties, wrapped a small piece of wire around either end and put some heat shrink on for looks. What do you think?

They look very nice and the hooks are just awsome....wonder where you could actualy buy them. The heatshrink wrap is very good. I have to try it.

Thanks, I've been wondering where to buy more myself. Just got lucky and found them laying in a pile of junk. I counted like 140 something hooks. I gave him .50 for all of them. Stole the hair ties from the girl friend.

You could get those small s- hooks at most hardware stores.

those are not s-hooks. And I've never seen at any stores around me. I looked around the internet last night and wasn't able to find anything even close. The hooks I have are only .375" long.

The smallest opening is only 3/16" but you can bend them out some more with a pair of pliers.
