Advice to a newbie, search and research. Spend the next month or two backtracking in all the different forum threads, read everthing and go back into each no less than at least a year, year and a half minimum. Go back about 3-4 years in videos, lol. Sounds daunting but the amount of information buried in this site will blow you're mind. You'll find some amazing things and also learn about you're fellow members through their posts, builds, etc. You can start on this section, "Scale Accessories". Go up to you're forum tools and enter "working winch" in the search box. Most of what's out there in the scale winch catagory will be listed. Cheapist is a Warn style Asian knock off (rip off- have to reasearch to find out the reason, lol) of a custom German (Stefan at scaleoffroad.de) work of art. A few other members also sell some different versions of winches. Several vendors on here also sell these and others, RC4WD, RPP, MSD (QS winch was in production but now on hold) etc. Welcome, grab a beer and have fun researching .
