Default RC$wd bumpers/scx?

I have some tough armor RC4wd dumpers. Do you have to do anything special to fit an SCX10 frame? Do I need the brackets they sell?

I put one of their rear swing away spare bumpers on my SCX10 and all I did was bend the brackets a little wider to fit. It all depends on how wide the bumper mounting brackets are. They give dimensions on their web site so just compare those to the width of the chassis and then you should have an idea of what you need to do.

I don't have any but I have heard from some guys I crawl with that they can be a pain. Good luck. I just end up making my own.

i would like to see some bolt-on bumpers that dont kill the attack angle, and just barely come out from the chassis. maybe so that running rok lox 1.9 or a decent 4.7"+ 2.2 tire, the tire hits the wall first before the bumpers do, front or rear. i deleted the lexan bumpers on my rubicon 2dr body and ran some pro lines, but the bumpers are weak, mounts are stupid (to body, i mounted to chassis) and they DO protect but you have to attack a wall at an angle to get a tire up. plus the body had to set back to align the wheelbase. so, front bumper is 1/2" out too far, and rear bumper is tucked almost all the way under the back of the body. i might just weld something up for the time being.....

i like what youre doing with the scaler of your 1:1. looks very good. I think i'm just going to try to fab up a two piece quickly removable tube setup that goes a full 360 around the Jeep body around its bottom. rock rails included. something that wont stick out any more than what it needs to protect the body. keeping the weight down low and stiffening the chassis as well, and adding some weight all around for better grip where it needs it. i dont feel like welding on the 1:1s right now, but bending some tube and tacking something up might happen for this 3 day weekend....

went from 90s to 60s , fall has fell i think.

Working on a tire carrier that will be a direct fit. Should roll out in about 2-3 weeks.
