I cant remember the last time I handled a Co2 cartridge.... but isn't it needlessly heavy for what you're using it for? If you're fabricating all the other components why not just go a bit further and make the canister out of something lighter like styrene? Just a thought.

You are correct on the wieght. I mounted my co2 tank on one side of my rig and had to stiffen up the shock to make up for it. If you place it in the middle, it is not an issue.

that 3six tank is sweet. i have the stuff to make my own but i think i'll just get one of those now.
