Default What to use for vehicle tie down loops?

I have a Scale Flatbed that I built to haul my 1.9 comp rig. Now that its built I am trying to figure out what would be something I could use for a tie down loop on the deck of the flatbed? Its mode of 16 guage steel so i'm not worried about strength at all.

Also, is there anyone that makes scale ratchet straps or how would you guys think I could go about making some complete with th ratchet mechanism (it doesnt have to work though)

Heres a pic, thanks for the input.

You could always make the ratchet look real, and have the strap be a bungee type material so they could be tight.

Thanks I'll probably hit you up

Any ideas on a strong loop to attach to the corners of the deck?

I would make a hook just like the real deal. Depending on how many staid. Your probably looking at $40.00 for 2. That would include the strap, hooks for both ends, and simulated racchets.

Sweet, I'll shoot you a PM when I'm ready to do it, Thanks!

My question above was about the loops on the decking itself. What the straps would hook to on the flatbed. Any ideas?

Well, you say its made of metal.
You can have little oval slots cut along the edge of the platform for the hooks to mount to.
Or
I can try and make something that you can bolt down so the hooks grab that.
I'll see what I can do in a drawing.

Ohhh these wont work bro, I could make them like that but then it would be $80+ for each strap.. It would be more for looks then anything. I was supposed to do some of these for Crawlin coles last year for his scaler with the 2 tires side by side in the rear. plans changed. so I have the idea still, just never put them into place.

Probably option 2 Norm. Those loops from gardentrucking are exactly what I had pictured though. I was also thinking of just bolting some small eye bolts to the truck. they would stick up but it mmight be a little more cost effective. I am focusing more on a sweet looking strap.

What about length Norm? Do I need to send you the length I think I will need?

Yeah, I would need the lengths and color straps.

The lenghts should be from mounting point, over the object being winched down just taunnt to the mounting plate position.

Get some 1/8" bar stock and bend up some 'D' rings for the deck and braze them in place.
