| I was at lowes today, and i found this 1/16 ( i think) steel wire. It looks perfeect for a winch. It doesnt bend well, and it looks scale! and its 27 cents per foot! |

| sweet, i'm not shure what people use for winch wire, but i was thinking bike brake cables. they are super strong, thats what my toe cable is made out of. colin |

| You also could use piano wire or a heavy spiderwire fishing line. |

| I would use braided fishing line, like Spiderwire as HaPtOAD mentioned, instead of actual wire. It would be more flexible, and won't kink. |

| i found that the cable used on large ucontrol airplanes is very flexible and thin less than 1/16th dia. which is what i use . i used a lead crush sleeve that is used on model sailboats and gives you a good scale look |
