Ok. starting to get to some of the fun stuff now. I picked up the littel bar in a flea market lot deal because of some chairs I wanted for my Adirondack shelter. It was real cheezy looking so I added a piece of mahogony veneer to the top, some bamboo, some thatching that I have for the roof & photoshoped a tiki pattern for the front & walah... 10 scale tiki bar.

I wouldn't be surprised if he did that on purpose. He's a funny guy. Eats 9 hot dogs every day he does.

What? you never mounted a zebra that way before? Where did you go to college?

Yea, I did it on purpose. I cut it to mount right side up & then thought I would make a brass plack for the bottm & it fit better that way but I never put the plack on. It always amazes me the little details people catch. Thanks for checking it out.

funny, ha ha, not funny, funny.

been working on my camper trailer lately. I've been wiring all the lights in the jungle hut before I start roofing. boring stuff to post pics of.

Oh, and besides being a jungle trading outpost, scientific tropical research lab, unicorn farm and purveyor of fine jungle hotdogs, it's now also an art gallery. I made a real cool Peter Lik photo mount across the back side.

You have an iguana infestation it seems.......iguanas all over the truck, iguanas all over the bar....... on the positive side, looks to be no shortage of local food if it ever comes to that point.
Great hut BTW.

or.... You could go back and cut 2 feet off that Zebra and mount them upside down under the head on the large area where you planned to place the plaque and rest a rifle from an Axial kit there.

I have a 1:1 buck mounted like that.
Kinda mean to make the animal forever hold the gun that killed it, but it looks cool

Scale thatching 101. I'm using coconut fiber. layed down a bead of shoe goo & stuck it on. it's a bit loose on top, I'm going to try putting some watered down wood glue on.

Once, I have a system, I'll work towards the top layering the thatching & trimming as I go.
