I have two, got them brand new in a sealed packages.
It looks cool, but sounds like ass. Hooked it to my iPod, my iPhone4 and my iPad2.... Sounded like crap on all 3, no louder then device it was hooked to either.

But it was worth buying..... It sure looks cool

Couple questions since I don't own any icr@p.
When you found out sound sucked, were you using the up down volume on the speaker boombox, or through the device?
Is the amp board actually worth anything in terms of sound amplification or quality?

Just wondering since I'm gonna throw a tiny FM recciever through speakers in mine. If the amp board is worthless no sence finding the pinout and working with it.

Is the amp board actually worth anything in terms of sound amplification or quality? From the lowest volume to any points above it was 75%-80% worse then any of the Apple devices it was hooked to. So I would tend to say the amp board in it is beyond cheesy

Ok, good to know. I didn't figure it'd be anything amazing since it's just a pair of 3/4" headphone drivers in a sexy case.
I knocked out the amp board and hooked up an old headset cord to the speakers, you're right it's nothing spectacular.... But man it looks sweet!

The back is held on by tab & slot, 2 top 2 bottom. If you ditch the amp, melt the volume rocker to the box.

Voice is tinny but decent enough. Bass is ofcourse non-existant. Not an audiophile setup by any stretch of imagination, but pretty sweet for concourse at a comp.

Looks like you could probably drop another 1" driver in the case, but if going that route, why not just go with a 2" or 3" speaker hidden in the body?

i found some small "hamburger" speakers on ebay, they expand to give better bass response. there powered and have rechargeable battery in em.

cant beat the look of the little ghetto blaster though
