Re: Sam's Garage Thanks so much for all your great comments guys, really appreciated. So what's a garage without a fridge?.................... ..........well.......a garage without a fridge!!! http://i808.photobucket.com/albums/z...DSC_0001-1.jpg http://i808.photobucket.com/albums/z...DSC_0009_2.jpg http://i808.photobucket.com/albums/z...DSC_0007-1.jpg http://i808.photobucket.com/albums/z...8443521800.jpg This is a kit and is for dollhouses. I added the LED myself. The wires run out the back and through a hole in the wall to a battery and a switch. I'm not that good to put a switch in the door when it opens!!! So right now Sam is in the middle of getting more power and lights into the place. I'll keep you posted. |
Re: Sam's Garage Where's the beer ? |
Re: Sam's Garage looks awesome man, really kool |
Re: Sam's Garage Just...awesome. I found myself browsing dollhouse accessories on eBay whilst looking for some scale stuff the other day! I need some drinks cups / bottles... |
Re: Sam's Garage So.... Somebody recently learned how to solder....hasn't that opened up a world of possibilities!!! Here's my take on flourescent lighting. I figured, why not try shining two LED's into either end of a tube and see how it lights up. I tried a few different things like different kinds of drinking straws and some plastic tubing, but in the end came back to the good old box of styrene as it seems to work the best. i think the result is quite effective. http://i808.photobucket.com/albums/z...515_220352.jpg http://i808.photobucket.com/albums/z...516_225329.jpg http://i808.photobucket.com/albums/z...516_230834.jpg And the result...... http://i808.photobucket.com/albums/z...DSC_0010_2.jpg http://i808.photobucket.com/albums/z...DSC_0011_2.jpg http://i808.photobucket.com/albums/z...3513364773.jpg And the old ping pong ball trick for ceiling lights with LED's.... http://i808.photobucket.com/albums/z...514_222302.jpg http://i808.photobucket.com/albums/z...514_223548.jpg http://i808.photobucket.com/albums/z...DSC_0005_2.jpg http://i808.photobucket.com/albums/z...DSC_0007_2.jpg http://i808.photobucket.com/albums/z...DSC_0003_2.jpg And now the cleanup begins.....well when Sam says clean up, he really means "move stuff around"....and when he says begins, he really means "think about it"!!!! http://i808.photobucket.com/albums/z...DSC_0012_2.jpg This should help.... http://i808.photobucket.com/albums/z...13067669-1.jpg http://i808.photobucket.com/albums/z...DSC_0013_2.jpg http://i808.photobucket.com/albums/z...DSC_0014_2.jpg http://i808.photobucket.com/albums/z...DSC_0015_2.jpg Sam is still working on power outlets.... |
Re: Sam's Garage Small update...... Up until now this place has been running on magical cosmic energy. It's time to hook up to the grid..... http://i808.photobucket.com/albums/z...p/DSC_0032.jpg http://i808.photobucket.com/albums/z...p/DSC_0031.jpg http://i808.photobucket.com/albums/z...p/DSC_0036.jpg |
Re: Sam's Garage So Sam has finished the clean up.... http://i808.photobucket.com/albums/z...p/DSC_0109.jpg http://i808.photobucket.com/albums/z...p/DSC_0111.jpg http://i808.photobucket.com/albums/z...p/DSC_0107.jpg Almost ready to actually move in to the house. There's been a delay with the tradies doing the floors which has held things up a bit. For now, it's time for Sam to kick back and relax. This weekend he's off to the National Cupcake Bakeoff. Nothin' beats a good Blueberry Swirl!!! |

Re: Sam's Garage Here's some shots of the trailer parked in here for now. Sam is planning to build another shed out the back to move it to. http://i808.photobucket.com/albums/z...p/DSC_0114.jpg http://i808.photobucket.com/albums/z...DSC_0002-1.jpg http://i808.photobucket.com/albums/z...DSC_0004-1.jpg And I think this is probably my favorite shot of the whole build so far...... http://i808.photobucket.com/albums/z...DSC_0002_2.jpg |
Re: Sam's Garage Thankyou very much. So while Sam was away for the weekend in Cupcake Bliss City, his good friend Dexter asked if he could use the garage space. He wasn't too big on the details, but he sure did keep the place clean!......... http://i808.photobucket.com/albums/z...DSC_0007-2.jpg http://i808.photobucket.com/albums/z...p/DSC_0005.jpg (Sorry to those of you who may not be familiar with Dex's work and do not get the joke. Lets just say he had a killer of a time!) |
