Default Scale magazines and maps

Found some books at the craft store that were the perfect size. I found some mag covers I liked online, scaled them down and used a bit of CA glue to attach.

For the maps I did the same. Found pics, scaled them down, printed on photo paper, and cut them out.

What printer did you use? I just printed a bunch myself (just haven't cut them out yet) and found in my case a laser printer worked much better than my inkjet printer.

Nice work. Turned out great. I have tried to scale down pictures but they always are blurry. Did you use a particular software?

There are numerous factors that can go into why a print would be blurry, first off the size of the image you used to start with, the DPI at which you create the image, what printer you use etc. I start with the largest image I can find first then scale it down in Photoshop. I also printed mines on a laser jet printer which also helped in the print quality. Hope that helps!

Blurry issues are probably printer related. I use a laser printer @ 1200 dpi.

Use search tools in google & select "large" images. However, you don't need a super detailed image if you are taking it down to 10 scale magazine size.

you don't really need any special software if you aren't editing. Google, copy & paste into a word doc works fine. But access to a decent laser printer helps quite a bit.
