Windshield wipers??

Has anyone thought of making a some for there scale rig? I have thought of it, but I dont have plans to make a scale rig any time soon. What gave me the idea was the rowboat kit from Tamiya. Of coures there would need to be modifications needed. But most of the parts are there to make a set. I have also seen eye glasses that have a novelty wiper set but I have not found any on the net yet. Maybe Goat could build a set???

The yokoma drifters have a windshield wipers and rear view side mirrors part tree http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...&I=LXHPY0&P=ML "thumbsup" Also garden and trucking (wedico site) has them for the big rigs...I had a set on my courier, they were cool

You could also use the wiper's from a Hi-Lift body set.

Modify a mini-servo for continuous rotation and make a linkage (they're not that complicated, but awfully small) out of brass and you'd be good to go. The trick would be making them park correctly.

Intermittent would be cool, too.

for static the high lift wipers are easy
on my clod body I shaped the mount pins and twisted an exacto blade to put divots to place them on the pins molded in the clod body.

ya know... I totally missed the point of this thread   SORRY its been a long day... I didnt realize you were talking about functional wipers...then after I read goats post, I looked better at the boat and hit me  Would definitely be a cool idea, I am sure it can be done, I just dont know how well it would hold up to abuse...i know the wipers on my 4runner are always getting smacked around in roll overs

I had a functional set of wipers on my 1:1 a long time ago. They were cool for a while then i got bored of them. lol.

A Modded TQ3 and a mini servo would give you manually operated but atleast its from the controller. just use the modded 3rd channel to control the wipers.
