Does anyone know of how to make a pull pall without welding?

Or soldering. I used a bent Cotter pin and some metal to make the blade. Used a good soldering iron and it hasn't come apart yet. Could probably use a torch as well since there is nothing that will get to hot and melt. I believe it's a 1/4" cotter pin

Back before I taught myself to braze, I made this. Held together with 2 small bolts, and it's never failed me:
