| I found some transparent paint from tamiya that works well to give you colored lenses. I used some transparent orange to do my roof lights on my hilift |

I used colored sharpies on the gauge bulbs of my 1:1 Bronc to color them. I have not tried it yet but I bet you could color some clear lexan with a sharpie to make a lens. Last edited by Grizzly4x4; 01-31-2007 at 04:29 PM. | |

| I made a set of taillights for my Bronco.Made the taillight housing using some balsawood, make sure housing is bigger than taillight cut out in the body. lined the inside and outside with heating and air conditioner metal tape. Then drilled hole in back for LED to slide into, cut a piece of lexan from wheel well cutout.Glued to housing with medium CA.Covered lexan with transparent red monocote(covering for r/c airplanes).Had to use three layers of covering to get the red light color like I wanted. Then glued to the inside of the body with GOOP from Lowes after using dremel to cut out where the taillight sticker would have went.Easy to dremel out because on the Bronco, the taillight portion is raised.Lights work good and look better than a round LED holder in the body.
