Motor cover for the engine bay. ((((((Now you see it)))))) http://i1379.photobucket.com/albums/...psd2arspde.jpg ((((((Now you don't)))))) http://i1379.photobucket.com/albums/...ps4xwn7p0e.jpg http://i1379.photobucket.com/albums/...ps9zvyzvvz.jpg |
Re: Engine Bay Brilliant! Great job, engine cover is awesome! |
Re: Engine Bay I have a couple of items that I need to fit still that will be painted olive green that will not be so scale for the winch control. I may be able to stuff under the dash. if not they will go in the engine bay. |
Re: Engine Bay Looks great. Where did you hide your steering servo? |
Re: Engine Bay The bumper is doing 3 things. winch mount, Servo mount and bumper/brush guard. http://i1379.photobucket.com/albums/...psoddccaqt.jpghttp://i1379.photobucket.com/albums/...psmnfv4exa.jpg |
Re: Engine Bay I think I'm going to use a metal hood hinge on this build. It will help look more scale and let me use the firewall to mount stuff to it. |
Re: Engine Bay I have the lights wired in and tucked away. The metal hinge is in and the 1000mah 3s lipo and the remote controller is on the other side of the fire wall. I also installed a switch in the dash that looks like a stereo. I turn it on only when the winch needs to be used. The rest of the system runs off of the 4400mah 2s lipo. http://i1379.photobucket.com/albums/...psppqfyod9.jpghttp://i1379.photobucket.com/albums/...ps7gbneime.jpghttp://i1379.photobucket.com/albums/...psji3hile9.jpg |
Re: Engine Bay I did some more detail to the engine bay. I added battery cables and fan belts. I also added a crank pulley to get the look needed. Check out the esc power switch! http://i1379.photobucket.com/albums/...ps95vlc7x6.jpghttp://i1379.photobucket.com/albums/...psrttagrvk.jpg |

Re: Engine Bay Here is one I did back in 2008 that I stuffed a brushed motor and HPI gear reduction inside the V-8 engine. I have been updating the Build as of late and will be pulling the Motor in favor of a out runner brushless unit. This will give me more power and torque and help with heat issues. http://i1379.photobucket.com/albums/...pspdtiuufg.jpghttp://i1379.photobucket.com/albums/...psdddnahnn.jpg |
