| Trailer build attempt
Here is my attempt to build a trailer. Made from brazed stainless steel square pipe. It will build with : - Brake lights. - "Red and White" lines (I don't know what it's called). - Ramps. - 3Dprinted trailer axle, still needs to revise the axle. - Leaf springs on each side. - 3Dprinted trailer fender. Hopefully it turns out to be a scale trailer. Last edited by deephis46; 10-23-2017 at 08:47 AM. Reason: Pics resized |

Just printed the fender. This will painted in black. This box will use hinges and diamond plate on each face (on those recess). Also in black paint. Mock up.. Last edited by deephis46; 10-23-2017 at 08:35 AM. Reason: Pics resized |

Great work! What size square tube and what are your plans for the hitch? The more I see things done with a 3d printed the more I want one

| Re: Trailer build attempt Thanks, I'm using 10mm square tube and for the hitch for now I'm just thinking using a ball end. I will look later if it's scale enough using ball end.

Update.. Last axle that I printed didn't hold well. It was PLA, after a month (or 2 months, forget how long). The axle near wheel, where the bearings rest is broken. Then I made new one with ABS. It looks like more stronger. Nothing changed on dimensions. But just now I printed 4 separate axle housings and CA'd them to make 2 halves separate axle housings assembly. And screw them for a complete axle. Last edited by deephis46; 10-23-2017 at 08:20 AM. Reason: Pics resize |

More updates, I made a coupler out of 3Dprint, it actually works. I add locking mechanism on it. The 'hitch safety lock' didn't close enough to the ball. I need to modify my coupler design, if it can't I will remove 'hitch safety lock'. |
