Default gottorque's big a$$ scale subwoofer

About a month ago, I got the wild hair to build something...anything really. I thought about ideas and it hit me when I found an old speaker system and I took it apart.

Well dang, it looks like a big a$$ scale subwoofer. So I threw together a styrene enclosure (appropriately sized) with room for the bluetooth control board inside and wrapped it with silver vinyl cause I was too lazy to paint it. Scale by Chris made me a sweet custom scale amplifier, complete with LED light hole for power on indicator. Yes the system does function and pulls power direct from main 3s.

Yes, speaker systems on the trail can be annoying, especially when there are many of them...but hey for solo runs or back at camp/trail head. Party on

Was a fun little project for sure.

It works great and I can pull it from the truck if its extra wet or muddy. Doesnt weigh much either.

Very cool! How does the sound compare to the box you took it out of?

I've thought about doing the same thing using the guts of an ESS-ONE to get engine noise in a rig that doesn't have room for the whole box, but I'm hesitating to dive in and ruin a perfectly good ESS-ONE because I have no idea what a styrene enclosure would sound like.

Looks amazing I was gonna try using some old earbuds for dealers in my build. Just don't know if they're really to scale.
