Jonnie Fraz scale garage

Well I got tired of just taking pics on my build mat so I figured it was time to put together a little something to show off my trucks.

I work in a real fab shop, so I figured I would kind of model my diorama of my shop.

Now this is a work in progress, so don't judge me too harsh.

This is a pic of my Unimog build in the shop with a couple of my scale goodies.
I think I should have put the body on for this pic, but Oh well...

Here is one with the FJ that I built for my daughter...

What fab shop does not have at least one drill press?

Here is a pic of some of my scale goodies that need a little more work. Yes I know massive safety violation to not have my takes chained...:lmao:

I do have plans for a bunch more, but like I said it is a work in progress.

Thanks for looking

Are you using ceramic wall tiles for the walls, or is that carved in foam?

That is carved mdf... I laid out the pattern and went to town with my x-acto carving set.

Since the weather is kinda crappy here again this weekend I decided to spend a little time on the diorama.
When I built the walls I had made cut outs for a man door and a roll up door, and had just not got around to working on them...well today was the day for the man door.
I wanted an industrial door with industrial hardware...

Got my door handle and door where I like them...Now time for a door frame and jamb.

Now I like all that, but if you are going to have a window in your door it better be security glass.

Much better! Thanks for checking it out.

Very nice, did you use the exacto to score the window?

Yes... I taped down a section of clear and used my speed square and a spacer to make the wire mesh in the safety glass. It took a little bit, but I like the look.

Well I have been looking at these since Falvey has been perfecting them, and when he offered them up for sale I could not pass them up.

I had been bugging him for a while to set me up with a builders kit, but he has been super busy with some of his other projects.
I can tell you this if you are looking for better print work...good luck. His work is top notch.

Also been working on my own contribution for the fab shop.

This is one of the more impressive garages I've seen! Great work!
Love the level of filth you've got on the workbench.

Thank you so much for the kind words.

The bench is modelled after the one in my shop at work. The top is Model Masters metalized steel.. the legs are done with the Vallejo rust and stain kit.
