Jonnie Fraz scale garage Well I got tired of just taking pics on my build mat so I figured it was time to put together a little something to show off my trucks. I work in a real fab shop, so I figured I would kind of model my diorama of my shop. Now this is a work in progress, so don't judge me too harsh. https://imagizer.imageshack.com/v2/1...924/um88b4.jpg This is a pic of my Unimog build in the shop with a couple of my scale goodies. I think I should have put the body on for this pic, but Oh well... Here is one with the FJ that I built for my daughter... https://imagizer.imageshack.com/v2/1...924/0vuquH.jpg What fab shop does not have at least one drill press? https://imagizer.imageshack.com/v2/1...921/OV8GTX.jpg Here is a pic of some of my scale goodies that need a little more work. Yes I know massive safety violation to not have my takes chained...:lmao: https://imagizer.imageshack.com/v2/1...921/9KeGk2.jpg I do have plans for a bunch more, but like I said it is a work in progress. Thanks for looking |
Re: Jonnie Fraz scale garage Looks good. I like swirls in the floor and the shop vac "thumbsup" |
Re: Jonnie Fraz scale garage Took a couple more pics today. https://imagizer.imageshack.com/v2/1...922/V7PnDE.jpg https://imagizer.imageshack.com/v2/1...921/FWGsKL.jpg |
Re: Jonnie Fraz scale garage Are you using ceramic wall tiles for the walls, or is that carved in foam? |

Re: Jonnie Fraz scale garage Since the weather is kinda crappy here again this weekend I decided to spend a little time on the diorama. When I built the walls I had made cut outs for a man door and a roll up door, and had just not got around to working on them...well today was the day for the man door. I wanted an industrial door with industrial hardware... https://imagizer.imageshack.com/v2/1...923/bYszAe.jpg https://imagizer.imageshack.com/v2/1...922/wuvrpH.jpg Got my door handle and door where I like them...Now time for a door frame and jamb. https://imagizer.imageshack.com/v2/1...923/SECIL1.jpg https://imagizer.imageshack.com/v2/1...924/zmrifC.jpg Now I like all that, but if you are going to have a window in your door it better be security glass. https://imagizer.imageshack.com/v2/1...921/jdqHzC.jpg Much better! Thanks for checking it out. |
Re: Jonnie Fraz scale garage Very nice, did you use the exacto to score the window? |

Re: Jonnie Fraz scale garage Well I have been looking at these since Falvey has been perfecting them, and when he offered them up for sale I could not pass them up. https://imagizer.imageshack.com/v2/1...924/eCOcHd.jpg https://imagizer.imageshack.com/v2/1...923/tjadQX.jpg I had been bugging him for a while to set me up with a builders kit, but he has been super busy with some of his other projects. I can tell you this if you are looking for better print work...good luck. His work is top notch. Also been working on my own contribution for the fab shop. https://imagizer.imageshack.com/v2/1...922/Jifd7P.jpg Thanks for looking |

Re: Jonnie Fraz scale garage This is one of the more impressive garages I've seen! Great work! Love the level of filth you've got on the workbench. |

The bench is modelled after the one in my shop at work. The top is Model Masters metalized steel.. the legs are done with the Vallejo rust and stain kit. |
Re: Jonnie Fraz scale garage Nice! Great inspiration; one of these days I’ll get around to building a garage. Nice MOG too!!! Cheers Doc |
Re: Jonnie Fraz scale garage wow, looks very cool. Welders look awesome. |
