Next step. A few layers of transparent yacht varnish over the floor for protection, durability and reinforcement epoxy floor look. But first add a detail. Add a drain. So place determined and made a recess with the chisel. 3D printed designed and printed drain cover. Then paint the lot again, adding some effects as if it is not so clean anymore. Glued drain cover in the hole with Shoe Goo. Express uses too much Shoe Goo. The Shoe Goo mixed with the paint a bit and got through the grid. So now it looks like there is water in the drain up to the edge of the grid of the drain cover. And then the yacht lacquer was applied in a few layers and with that the floor is ready as far as the base is concerned. Same for the walls. Now time for the scale details. And the many liquids have already affected the concrete around the drain. |

| Re: Cesco RC crawler garage and scale accessoiries The pile of 3D printed wall bricks is increasing. Just a quick look for the looks and do I already have enough? No, make a few more. It's not going to hit the whole wall, just the bottom. 3D printing of the floor plates is also getting along. Windows are of course also necessary. So mix and match 3D print files and we design something new ourselves. In this way, holes in the walls are not necessary. Windows can be placed flat or in an open position. Paints, glass in it and a background behind it. And then mount it on the walls. I will cover the standing beams. We naturally design and 3D print styrene ourself. And in the meantime I still make some more papercraft boxes as scale details in the scale garage. That's how far the project has gone so far. Soon another update. |

We are already a few steps further. At the local hardware store a spray can has been found with a concrete / stone look. Ideal for converting wood and battens into concrete. Motip now also has a line of paint spray cans focused on craft and art. And this also includes a matte gray stone look. So all 3D printed wall parts are painted with this. After this all joints were made white and a wash technique was applied to the stones. Incidentally, I had first treated the 3D walls with a heated real stone. This way cracks, holes and damage are created for some extra effect and texture. Furthermore, windows designed and 3D printed. Also a 3D printed stone effect styrene was designed and printed. After painting the upright wooden slats were covered with it. Now it looks like stone columns. And started to glue the stone wall parts on the wall. Result untill now: |

Already a step further, working on this between the many other RC projects. All stone walls have now been painted. Done with the help of my son. Then some extra 3d ones printed and painted and an enlarged photo and after some puzzling this is the idea. The photo is been made as a decal by a RC friend of mine, Memphis Style. Continued to glue the 3d print stone design on the left wall. The sticker was done and delivered very fast by Memphis, so time to get it on the right wall. Needs a bit of touch up here and there, but you get the general idea. After that the focus went on the back wall. There I want a garage door and a regular door. First the garage door. Because it is the back wall, a functional door doesn't make much sense. The back wall gonna is placed against a actual wall, so when you will open the garage door you will see the real wall behind it. But we can make it a bit more realistic. Found silver-colored decorative strip at the local hardware store. Exactly required look for an aluminum roller shutter. Then windows and holes parts are designed in the same style and printed in 3d. All painted in the same silver color. Found a suitable photo and enlarged it and printed it in 4 parts on photo paper. Then pasted with wallpaper glue. After this all roller door parts are glued over it. Windows have 0.4mm Tamiya lexan in it, so they have a glass look. Side rails system made of wood and painted. At the top there will be a part where the rolling door will "roll up". The results so far have been quite successful. The look what I went for is a roller door with windows and that you can see the parking lot outside and the next customers 4x4. Logo still on roller door painted by hand. Photos final result roller shutter will follow soon. It is not quite finished yet. |

Half of the windows are glued on the walls. I go for a look where the garage is part of a larger building. Through the windows you look into the rest of the builing where all project 4x4s and stock 4x4s are. Either that is me in the glass or the garage is haunted...... Unfortunately, one of the windows was broken. Vandalism, accident, trying to break in? I have no idea. Today the rest of the windows go in. Finish the roll door. And get more things done. After this started with a roof. I will leave it open for now, so that I can shoot and film from above. Time to make some beams. Inspiration comes from photos of Jay Leno's garage. 3D print designed and printed beam holders are made below. Most for the looks, but the ones on the side are functional. Everything is held together with glue, except for the hooks. There are the only screws, although they are also partly for looks. The walls are therefore kept upright by the slots in the floor part and by the roof at the top. All beams are stained. |

The next step is to glue the garage floor parts that I had 3D printed. This will only go in the corners of the scale garage on the ground floor. Under the first floors, that I will build next. And this is where the project stands now. |

I have been doing some more building. Material a combination of 3D prints, wood, paint and screws. I want to make a platform left and right in the back corners. Now you can do that simply with some wood. But I wanted a more scale look. With I-beams and accompanying uprights and an industrial look for the stairs. So I search on Thingiverse and what is not there I adjust or design myself. And then combine a bit with wooden beams and a wooden subfloor for a realistic look. It is not finished yet, but the photos show where it is going. All screwed together and all beams welded together with a 3D pen. And then floorboards on it. |

In between, scale accessories are also made and this is one of them. Every garage needs heating and ventilation. So I made something that can be done on one of the walls when the platforms are ready. |

The left platform posted above should get a staircase, but first made the platform on the right. Same recipe but now with the stairs installed right away. The 3D printer is currently printing the last parts of the landing. And the floor boards still have to be on the floor. But basic state. Broad lines already visible. It is already starting to like something. |

I was able to build a little further. The stairs on the right are finished. There is now also a floor on the platform. And started on building a staircase for the left platform. This is not finished yet, but it is already a long way. |
