| Deadbolt ii scale build with body hinge.
I got a deadbolt ii for Christmas- yes I did tell the wife “wrap this, and please don’t ask questions” lol. I’m having a lot of fun making little accessories for it so I thought I’d share. I don’t have a 3D printer, I’m using polymer clay, wood and scraps I find in the garage. This little fire extinguisher is made from polymer clay and painted with Tamiya acrylics. I mounted it under the light bar on my truck. Tho This ax is made from that same sculpey clay and maple with a simple wax finish. I mounted it with basswood blocks and electric tape. A couple of layers of tape looks like a steel bar gripping it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

| Re: Deadbolt ii scale accessories and build Ok here is the cup holder, 8-ball shifter, Hershey bar and can of red-stripe beer. This pic shows the two beer cans (one crushed), wrench, crowbar and little ruler (says empire on it)... there’s also a Heineken bottle that I did not like and an early version of the ax head. Here is a pair of bungee cords and my red rescue rope in the background. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

| Re: Deadbolt ii scale accessories and build I Ok- this is what it looks like before paint... I’m working on painting the skull head too. The door handles and hinges are made from multiple layers of electrical tape. Works well in water and doesn’t fall off during rollovers. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

| Re: Deadbolt ii scale accessories and build Here’s the shovel for my rig. It’s polymer clay on a wire frame with aluminum foil for shape. I’m working on a grille but it’s not going well. Might need to buy a 3D printer. Here is the shovel painted... And here’s a couple more shots. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

| Re: Deadbolt ii scale accessories and build Here’s my deadbolt ii diy body hinge. It’s made from styrene and two of the baby safety drawer locks. I screwed in a layer of styrene on the body so that there are four mounting points to spread the load. The trapezoid of styrene is screwed into the hinge blocks top and bottom. Works well to swap batteries and turn things on and off on the trail. I glued a neodymium magnet to the body to keep the clips from being lost also. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I love your thread , Phil. I’m having trouble making the light buckets- they look crooked because the styrene moves in the drill press. I’m making another now and I’m going to put pilot holes in with the drill press and use a reamer... we will see how poorly I do, lol. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

The accessories look spot on! My son introduced me to some stuff called Apoxy, a 2 part clay. We use it for his modded Nerf blasters. What are you using?

Thank you Gula- I’m using something by craft smart- but the same stuff is sold as “sculpey” or “super sculpey”. It comes in a lot of colors and you bake it at 250 degrees for each 1/2” of thickness. For weird shapes you can make an armature of wire or foil and bake it right into your little sculpture. It’s cheap- a couple of bucks for the little square and it will not dry out if left uncovered. It feels like plasticine. HTH! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
