| Codyboys shop build
OK, I'm a 65 year old kid who plays with little car, there I addmitted it!!!!! So now I want to build a shop to put them in. Here is a site in my shop that might work! It is mainly used as a catch all that gets cleaned a couple times a year. You are now seeing it in the cleaned state! I found five white poly panels 28X42 that are a double wall and have a two inch border on three sides, king of like a shower floor with no drain. A nice size for the floor and walls. Bill and Sid and I got the overhead door and egress door cut into one wall. Now we are trying to figure out how we want to do the windows. Being this is a work shop we desided we wanted them up high so they are out of the way when things are flying around. We taped off the wall and painted a green strip all the way around the shop, kind of gives it a little bling! Next on the list is to build some shop tools and a bench. Going to start a lift next, I'll be using 3/4" channel for the two posts. I don't have a welder, so everything will be soldered with safety silv 56. so up they go. Here are most all the pieces I'm going to use for the swing arms and adjusters. Got some parts painted up, I will get Sid to help me put them together tomorrow. | Re: Codyboys shop build Thanks VladCrawler, I wanted a area that would work for taking photos. Well, every thing dried over night, so started assembly this morning. Testing to see how it will handle the weight, my first lift attempt didn't fair so well. (you can see parts of it in the back ground.) Works good, now to add some detail. All of the cylinders and electrical came in from the lego warehouse so painted them up and installed! While I was working on the lift Sid and Bill put a new floor down in the shop. We desided a compressor would be our next project. Found a plastic salt and pepper shaker set at Goodwill. Next is our engine stand. I use the square tubing from one of those adjustable light for this and the swing tubs on my lift. Last edited by CODYBOY; 02-09-2015 at 10:11 AM. |

This is sweet! Any updates on this at all? Getting ready to start one myself, and may need a few pointers.

I know this thread is a year or two old, but I really dig this shop build and your custom rigs! |
