pictures say a thousand words. my radiator hose clamps are only 1/2 inch wide. billet grilles are longways, how will that work?

Dont think the RAD hose clamps will work as they are formed cylindrical and you cant bend them back straight.
My suggestion is to just cut it direcly from aluminum stock and shape them to fit your application.

Since I am not experienced in the area of welding or soldering aluminum this is out for me, so on my project truck I will be trying a new application soon to make a billet grille.

cut up a silver soda can, you can cut them with xacto knifes, and glue them right to your body.

Who says you can't flatten a hose clamp? The doors on my Toyota were formed with a nice round curve to them at the factory......They are flat now

Talking about a longer version of this, just open it up and flatten for grill insert.

a couple reasons why that wont work well. theyre slanted grooves for the threads and the billet grilles generally are horizontal in orientation.

no its not. theyre slanted. if you used em vertically they wouldnt be well, vertical. and then billet grilles are generally horizontal.

If you make a scale grill out of a hose clamp, the next thing you know somebody will made a slanted slot grill for 1:1s. It might look pretty cool. Do you have any pictures Dipstick?
