Another strap.
 

So I got bored and wanted to make myself a strap. Started out with the usual shoe lace dyed yellow with Rit Dye. I have enough materials right now to make 12 of these. Yea, I bought a little too much stuff, lol.

The hook was made from a 1/2" common nail bent with some pliers. Not quite what I wanted but I'll try some rod next time I go to the hobby shop.

there is a scale boating site that has shackles like on any offroad vehicle for the tow strap and there only like 2 bucks a set heres the site i think it is just what you need for final touch:
