Default Highlift jacks and diamond plate.

I used the HPI LandRover lid on a couple of my builds, but i thought they missed some details. So i odered som 1/16 Plastruct plastic diamond plate, some styrene 3/8" H-bares and 3/8"square tubing. And i found me some 2mm wirelockers and some rustfree steelcable at my local hardware store.

Cutting out the diamond plate pieces:

Gave them some paint:

Glued them in place using tire glue:

Made me some Highlift jacks using the styrene H-bars and square tubes:

Mounted the wirelockers to the front bumpers:

Made me some towingcables using sustfree steel cable:

Turned out pretty good imo:

The antennas are whip antennas used on boats, they come with disconnecting plugs, making it easy to take of the lid:

Used Savage bumpers and Proline roof racks (gonna swap the racks thou, for some more realistic ones).

Defenders are cool, got two hardbody ones as well. The yellow one is done, running a K2-3S chassis and HL axles. The grey one will be my next project:

Cool, didnt realize it was shaped that way. You could always reinforce the rea with some styrene, but I guess the key thing is looks over function with those.

Great ideas. By chance do you have a link for the rc boat antennas that have the quick disconnect clamp? Thanks.
