you should glue little antenna's on there to give them that retro r/c distinctive look.

I still have a few 'Micro Machines' models, a couple years back I made a little mini RC pistol grip to go with one of my MM models, take a look....

Yes it's Sytrene, the Pistol grip TX is all styrene with a sewing pin for the ant. and a hot wheels "steering wheel", center of the bench grinder is made from two felt markers and styrene for the rest, the white parts are for a bench vise.
There are lots of scale things you can make, here is a link to some free printables...
