Default polishing shocks

For those of you that have turned down shocks and polished them. how did you polish them to get the rough lines out from the file. thanks

Default lots of sanding

start off with course sand paper 400 grit and keep working them finish with 1000 grit then take some never dull wheel polish from auto zone and start polishing till they go bling bling this sounds like lots of work but the work is worth the reward
